Women’s Aid is the lead agency offering information, accommodation and support to women and children experiencing domestic and sexual violence in Northern Ireland.

TWO PART-TIME FIXED TERM SUPPORT OFFICER POSTS

(Ref SO/08/2020)

Main essential criteria for applicants is:

  • A sound educational background
  • Proven ability to give practical and emotional support and guidance.
  • Experience of working with community groups and statutory and voluntary sector agencies
  • Computer Literate

Hours: 22 hours per week
(plus participation in Emergency out of hours on-call rota)

Annual Salary: £13741
Duration of Post: 4 years

ONE PART-TIME FIXED TERM FLOATING SUPPORT INTAKE OFFICER POST

(Ref FSIO/08/2020)

Main essential criteria for applicants is:

  • Social Work Degree WITH At least six months in the last two years previous full time experience of working in a supportive role with vulnerable adults/families within          residential or community based environment (or part time equivalent)

Or

  • NVQ Level III/minimum 2 ‘A’ levels at grades A-C or higher/equivalent WITH At least 1 year in the last 3 years previous full time experience of working in a supportive role with vulnerable adults/families within residential or community based environment (or part time equivalent).

 Or

  • NVQ level II/ minimum 5 GCSE/O levels at grades A-C (to include maths and English) WITH At least 2 years in the past 5 years previous full time experience of working in a supportive role with vulnerable adults/families within a residential or community based environment.

 

  • Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office

 

Hours: 25 hours per week
(plus participation in Emergency out of hours on-call rota)

Annual Salary: £14628.18—£16258.06

Duration of Post: 18 months
